Getting started

## Create your first structure

A structure is a live view of your Jira work items, arranged in the hierarchy you choose. Setting one up takes three steps.

Step 1

### Choose your projects

Select the Jira projects (spaces) you want in your structure.

Step 2

### Arrange your hierarchy

Pick the work types you need and drag them into the hierarchy you want. Remove the ones you don't need to keep things tidy.

Step 3

### Set permissions

Choose which users and groups can view or edit your structure.

That's it. Your structure is ready to use.

## Work with your structure

With your projects and work items in place, you can follow progress, assignees, due dates and more in one view.

### Columns

Drag columns to arrange them the way you like. Turn columns on or off to stay focused.

### Filter and sort

Filter by assignee or reporter, and sort any table by the column you choose.

### Progress

Every work item with children gets a progress bar, so you can see how the whole project is moving.

Structure AI

## Auto-organize

Auto-organize places unassigned work items under the right parent. Structure uses Jira parent links first, then AI for the rest. Nothing changes until you apply.

1. Select Auto-organize at the top of your structure. The button shows how many work items are unassigned.
2. Choose the extra context AI can use, such as labels and components.
3. Select Start and review the placements as they come in.
4. Select Apply to place the work items in your structure.

Settings

## Edit a structure

Open the ••• menu next to the structure name to change it at any time.

### Projects

Add or remove the projects in the structure.

### Rules

Change the work types and how they nest.

### Details

Rename the structure and review its hierarchy.

### Permissions

Choose who can view or edit it.
